Continuum Loadworks / Industrial load member development

Wire rope inspection has changed less in Fifty years than the industries that depend on it.

We are working to change that.

What we are building

A rope-based load-member architecture designed to be inspectable, classifiable, and legible - not just strong. Our work organizes conventional wire rope elements into a controlled member body where condition, contact, and damage are easier to read than in conventional assemblies.

The innovation is not the rope itself. It is the architecture around the rope.

Where we are right now

Continuum Loadworks' Tensora v1 is at the prototype evidence stage. We are FEA-informed, evidence-driven, and building on a domestic supply chain of certified wire-rope inputs and domestic material partners. We are not making a rated product, a finished sling, or a certified lifting article. We are developing a load-member architecture and the controlled-test evidence that goes with it.

Who we are looking to talk to

At this stage, the conversations that matter most to us are with people who care about the future of industrial rigging and inspection. Specifically:

Technical advisors and reviewers

Wire-rope engineers, mechanical engineers, FEA and contact-mechanics specialists, and rigging-standards veterans. If you have spent time in this field and want to be part of getting something new right, we want to hear from you.

Testing partners and laboratories

Independent test labs, university materials facilities, and engineering services firms that have load-testing capability for rigging hardware. We are planning instrumented prototype testing and would value relationships before we need them.

Inspection-authority and standards community

Inspectors, asset managers, and standards-committee members who deal with wire-rope retirement decisions in heavy industrial operations. If inspection legibility is something you have opinions about, we want to compare notes.

If any of this is you, the fastest way to start is a short note to the founder.

Built on a domestic supply chain

From prototype stage forward, CLW is taking a domestic-first and manufacturability-aware path. We are sourcing certified wire-rope inputs domestically, working with domestic intermediate-support material grades, and building regional machining relationships. The supply chain is not closed yet. We are building around real available inputs and controlled validation — not abstract assumptions.
